Received this call about 9:30 A.M. I called back when no one would answer. A woman answered, denied calling, then handed the telephone to a man, who also denied calling. I know the NRA calls me. This call was from them.

After daily calls for two weeks from this number, not answering, no message left on my machine, I picked up today. I had to say ‘hello’ twice, and a live person asked for “April.”
I told him there is no “April” here and to stop calling my house EVERY F****NG DAY. He told me I didn’t have to be vulgar, I told him he didn’t have to be an a***ole and hung up.
Might work, might not, but I feel better, and I will continue to pick up the phone and hurl insults and vulgarities at these people for as long as they choose to ask for it by calling me.

Why don’t people look up a known number for the National Rifle Association and call them and see if they are calling you. I did and I was assured that the National Rifle Association does not call people. They use mailings to solicit funds. Most calls purporting to be from the NRA are just democratic front organizations trying to piss people off at the real NRA to further their gun control ambitions. They target known members to try and get them to give up their memberships. DON”T FALL FOR IT!!

The number “866-725-2769″ is absolutely not the National Rifle Association. That number belongs to a group of gun-banning idiots who identify themselves as the NRA just to foment negative opinions against those of us who actually believe the Second Amendment is still a valid part of our Constitution.

Please get the facts before you accuse the NRA of making those calls.

This is a spam call originated by the NRA, National Recovery Association. Received a call around 22:00 hs while at the movie teather.
FYI, if you receive 4G signal on the street, but inside a business you are now receiving a 3G, GSM or less than the original signal outside the street, your signal is being funneled and traced.
Acellular call is a series of packets that carry the coded conversation and a series of packets that carry origin number, decoding key and destination number.
While a conversations are not a constant, numbers are, which makes it possible to be lifted and catalogued by a shopping store. Ever got a call shortly after passing by or walking through a store like Sears or Khols?

I received a call this morning from the NRA offering a great deal on membership renewal and gifts. I asked them to call back this evening because I wanted to check it out. Too many opposing opinions online so I I went direct to the source before making a decision. I called the National Rifle Association’s membership line to verify the call. It was confirmed that this was a call authorized by them and I could get the same offer direct.

This is not the NRA, it is an anti-gun group posing as them to get members angry enough to quit. Unfortunately, some people are gullible enough to fall for it. Call a legitimate NRA number (on their website) and ask them about the phone number that contacted you. It isn’t one of theirs. Just because a voice message states that it’s the NRA doesn’t make it the NRA. If you hold that to be true, I’ll start changing my voicemail introduction to Hugh Hefner.

I am thankful this forum exists. I am a member of the NRA and I hate phonecalls. I have been getting these multiple times a week. I just read up on the number here, and gave it a call. There is a recorded message, from the National Rifle Association, and then you press 1 to hear more, and later press 3 to have your ten-digit number removed. I did that, they repeated it (all auto) and said they would not be calling. easy enough.

Obviously here because was called by this number. With all the back & forth over whether it’s the “Real NRA” (I’m a member); I don’t know who’s right & don’t plan on calling the # to find out.
However, to the people saying the NRA never calls people. That is most definitely incorrect! Whether for fundraising (they use an outside company) or to renew or offer a deal on renewing , such as a discount on multi-year, or throwing in a gift, (I have a bag from them), they most certainly DO call. So I’m not sure why people are saying that the Real NRA never calls.
It hasn’t gotten out of control, especially the fundraising calls. I have multiple #’s in my phone under the contact “NRA Fundraising Do Not Answer” that are set to go straight to vm so I don’t get bothered by all the calls.

      Phone Number Report:

Sorry, I meant , “It HAS” (not it hasn’t) gotten out of control. And I agree it definitely is a big turn off being called constantly. I guess just remember, since the Fundraising calls are from an outside company, the telemarketers there are going to call as much as they can as I’m sure they get Bonuses, Commision, etc. based on the amount they bring in. So they aren’t really thinking about the NRA’s image, they’re thinking about their paycheck.
I hope I helped somebody with the blocking. If they’re calling your cell, just add them as a contact & set it up to go straightt to voicemail, which as we know, they don’t leave messages.

    Spoofed Numbers
Caution a “spoofed” number is one that whoever called you “tricked” your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain. If you were spoofed, you can file a complaint to fight back against these telemarketers.
